Comparing buildings side by side helps you make better rental decisions. Here's what to look for:
- Overall Score: Higher is better (out of 100)
- Open Violations: Current unresolved issues - lower is better
- Class C Violations: Immediately hazardous conditions - should be 0
- Pest/Heat Violations: Common quality-of-life issues - especially important for Boston's harsh winters
Boston Note: Heat violations are weighted 25% higher in our scoring due to Boston's brutal winters. A building with heating issues in January can be genuinely dangerous.
