Comparing buildings side by side helps you make better rental decisions. Here's what to look for:
- Overall Score: Higher is better (out of 100)
- Open Violations: Current unresolved issues - lower is better
- Critical Violations: Immediately hazardous conditions - should be 0
- Pest/Heat Violations: Common quality-of-life issues
Note: Washington state prohibits rent control (RCW 35.21.830), but Seattle has strong tenant protections including the Rental Registration and Inspection Ordinance (RRIO).
