“The super, Pedro, is amazing, but the management company, Pristine Properties, is awful. They are sketchy and violate NY tenant laws. These apartments are also incredibly overpriced even for the village. Highly recommend you look elsewhere!”

“Honestly I love the building just hate the stairs. Landlord is on top of fixing things. Mice are a problem in winter (I see one every few months but it’s swiftly killed by my cat) No cockroachesHeating is good throughout the apartmentsPet friendly - three dogs at least that live in the building. Multiple cats. AC is Window UnitsIt is two avenues away from Weill Cornell on e 68th and York so be prepared for consistent ambulance noise (it isn’t at all out of the day but probably around 1-2x a day but rarely at night if ever. Windows are a bit thin so in my unit i experience a LOT of road noise especially with the window AC units installed. Live in SuperQuiet NeighborsUnsure in other units by noticable slant through stairwell and apartment (building is over 109 years old so understandable.)There is a schooling program in the building next door so be prepared for lots of children / noise nearby during school days during 8-9am and 3-4pm. Not bothersome but it’s thereVoting poll site is next doorEnd of the block is the Q subway stationLOTS of restaurants within a 5-10 block radius Target, Morton Williams, and Walgreens are all within 5 blocks of the apartment (Walgreens is the corner store on 2nd ave)”

“Great first or second apartment for young adults in the heart of East Village. Easy to get around with proximity to the 6 and excellent restaurants, bars and cafes nearby. Building itself is relatively safe, being on 2nd Avenue with good light and have never had issues with people on the steps or entering the building. Note that nearby area on 2nd Avenue can get a little sketchier at night for young women. Building has heating poles during the winter which can be slightly unreliable but largely keep the apartment warm and cozy, sometimes so warm you have to open the windows. As there is no doorman, your packages will get stolen, no doubt about it, so do not order anything valuable to this address. Overall, a solid starter apartment, and although there is no laundry in building, Alice Cleaners down the street is great.”
